Do you enjoy working with children, playing computer games, solving problems, and empowering the next generation?  Do you love Minecraft™?  Boy do we have a job for you!

You will be responsible for teaching LEGO® Mindstorms robotics, stop motion animation movie making, basic coding and advanced redstone inside Minecraft™, and video game creation to 6-17 year olds.  Training is provided, but experience with teaching children and working with computers is preferred. You should be enthusiastic, energetic, and enjoy working with children and technology.

Our after school workshops meet for 1.5 hours after the traditional school day ends (which varies by school from 2:30-3:30pm). Our workshops usually meet once a week for 6-12 weeks. We are looking for teachers Monday – Friday.  It is HIGHLY desired to be available all 5 days; available 4 days (including Friday) is required. More hours may be available. This position would be perfect for a college student, stay-at-home parent or someone self-employed looking for some extra pay. Individuals will be responsible for their own transportation as well as setting-up and breaking down classroom equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Pay is $40 per 1.5 hour class taught. Extended hours may be available in the summer.

Qualifications:

Preferred: Experience teaching 7 – 14 year olds
Required: Computer literacy

** Random drug testing will be enforced
